This Week’s Rants
Category: life, homeIt must be one of those weeks or even month when everything simply doesn’t turns out right! Perhaps it’s because Mercury turns retrograde on 01Feb2008? In Astrology terms, Mercury is the planet of communication, negotiation, contracts & commerce, so when is out of phase, my life goes havoc!
Let’s start with work. Every tasks not going smoothly as scheduled and yet new issues that seems pop up out-of-the-blue, and continue to morph from one to yet another new form (of issues). Needless to say, this cause deadline pressures to build up rapidly. And I need to be on the double to clear them ASAP before work starts to pile up!
And that’s not the end, my home PC went kaput. So I need to build another one soon. Oh well, I intend to build another anyway as I need a dual monitor setup. Or perhaps I should just consider a notebook? Just pray that the data in the hard disk is still intact, that all I wish for!
Bought a new waist pouch, but one of the zipper went kaput as well too!
Went to Sentosa Flower 2008 for photography as well as to test my Canon S5 IS (which I have not been using for quite a while).
S5 failed me, photos were too soft to my liking, or perhaps my hands too shaky because I didn’t used any tripod or maybe camera settings were incorrect? There is no time to delve into these until I sort out my work.

Sentosa Flower 2008 disappoints me. No doubt, it really a massive display of flowers landscaped into Asia, Africa, America, Europe & Middle East themes. However, I never felt at all that I was transiting from one theme to another. Yes, the landscape design (or rather lack of it) disappoints me. But if you are expecting just a huge display of flowers, well, they’ve done it!
*phew* It been so tiring that I overslept till noon on Saturday. Unfortunately, Sunday rest time wasn’t spared at all.
Fortunately, Mercury Retrograde will ends on 17Feb2008. I hope things will goes well for the rest of this month!
Also, on the brighter side, I found something interesting for the coffee addict in me.
Handpresso! The Portable espresso maker.

Have a look at this interesting demo. The bad, it costs 99 Euros (about S$205) and that’s excluding hot water bottle, cups, saucers & girlfriend *cough cough* LOLz
oh well, C’est La Vie!

Very very nice pics.. Birds of Paradise never appear so nice before..
