Bangkok2007: Bharani & Doi Tung @ TCDC

Earlier, I talk about the eye candy of TCDC that would probably left you in mesmerized state. To complete your sensory delights, you just need to step into Bharani restaurant which is just beside the entrance of TCDC.

Being my first visit, I wasn’t aware Bharani restaurant already have 60 years of history behind them. Lieutenant Aphai Isarabhakdi had opened Bharani restaurant since 1949. The restaurant become well known for their western dish with thai twists. From minute steaks and French-style bouillabaisse, sausages that mingled seamlessly with thai exotic flavors.

60 years later and now run by 3rd generation owner, they still proudly insist to follow their grandfather’s original recipes, whipping up delicious old-styled of home cooked meals. In fact, most (if not all) of their staples on offer were home-made.
