Versatile Goma Sauce

Category: food, home

very free today .. so post a little more hahahahaha!

Goma Dare (Sesame Sauce) is one of the dipping sauce that’s served along with shabu shabu. The nutty, piquant sauce goes very well with meats & even vegetables. I like to use it as dip with boiled broccoli and even cucumber, young corns & carrots. And sometimes on Salad greens as well too!

I like my goma sauce roasted & coarse, usually got them from local japanese supermarket here. With the conveniences of ready made sauce, it’s so easy & quick to whip up a healthy snack. And no, I have no intention to make goma dare myself at home even if I have the recipe, because I’m just too lazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy hahahaha …

btw, I did add a little sesame oil to pump up their aroma!

slurp!

Tyre Expiry Date

Category: life, home

Just jotting down life’s little tibits :)

I’m not sure if people are aware that all tyres have an limited lifespan. I’ve changed by expired tyres recently even though the tyre threads were still good for few more months. While chatting with the mechanic that was changing my tyres, I’m surprised he wasn’t aware of this at all!

A typical lifespan tyre is about 4 years. Once it reached their lifespan, rubber would have started to harden & more prone to crack when running under hot weather. So to be on the safe side, do consider changing your tyre once it’s expired irregardless if the threads are still good.

So how to check tyre expiry date? The date of manufacture is usually indicated on one side of tyre in week-year format. For example, the following shows 3103 which means the tyre was manufactured on week 31 of 2003 (There are 52 weeks in a year). So just add 4 years to workout the expiry date of your tyre.

Hope that’s useful! :)
