Of Photography, Risks & Life

Category: life, photo, home

I’m always gaming to try new viewpoints in photography. And even though I know of good location to get nice firework photos, Im still itching for to try new location, new experiences, fresh ideas.

The risk here is that I might land up on bad spot, which is a bad thing if you looking of “sure-win” results. To me, if you never fail or make mistakes, you will never learn anything new. And to get “sure-win” results would be akin to repeating the same experience over and over again. oh mine, that’s quite a bore for me!

Hence, as long as the risk is NOT life or work threatening, I’m most willing to take. And as I was typing this, I already failed twice, the NDP fireworks as well as SFF2006 Round3 fireworks. Both due to bad positioning taken & perhaps wrong techniques used. Good side is that I’m learning and at times, have some other unexpected bonus.

Oh well, for NDP fireworks, I have planted myself at Jalan Batu. A bad position primarly becoz the stadium fireworks were partially block by building & trees while for the high level fireworks, we are looking actually facing the sideview. A bad idea as row of fireworks will look like one huge orgy of lights. Anyway, on with the show …..

While waiting, I saw a interesting halo in the skies. Hopefully that a good omen? Or perhaps it wasn’t? hmmm ……

Paratroopers were first, painting skies with smokies. They actually look like toys been thrown out of the plane hehehehehe …

The usual ZZZZZ flag flypass & stunts. Oh, I was hoping that have got more creative ideas next time. hahahaha….

The Heli kicks in, flying over the slowly changing beautiful orangy skyscape.

And the skyscape evolved into even deeper orangy hues as the minutes clicks on. Truely stunning, None around us were NOT spellbounded by this beautiful sunset.

And onto the fireworks that I managed to salvage.

Whatever, it’s still a beautiful day to me! :)
